I'm Coming to Los Angeles over the Christmas Break, and I'm going to teach a seminar there-Details are in Practac here --Joe

Woohoo! I wanted to know if you do these training sessions in St. Pete's at all by any chance? If so, I'm interested in getting some more information from you about what you teach. Anyhow, I recently moved near Tampa in the Brandon area from Texas. I would like to find out if you know any good local dealers for spydercos and if you might be a member of the Spyderco Program yourself...let me know here or you can contact me at the following email addy - ekerne@msn.com
Thanks!

Kudzu,

Joe is one of Bram's personal "Home Team" students/instructors and an all-round good guy.

You have just moved into Bram's back yard. Come on over to www.CSSDSC.com and grab all the info you need. The rest of the Home Team hangs there as well as CSSD family from around the globe. Come out to the classes at S2 Institute.

CSSD Modular Training will get you up to speed fast. Is Clearwater close enough to St. Pete for ya?

Steve

Y'all central Floridians are blessed to be so near Dijos, Bram, and all the Gunting devotees. I am seriously considering buying a diesel VW or a Honda Civic to make road trips more affordable, and I am a Jeep and full-size pickup kind of guy.

Steve, the seminar I attended preceded the modular stuff, but I did purchase the modular DVD set, and it has been very helpful.

Cool, Rex.

I'm amazed at how easily it can all be picked up and how advanced the end result is....Some new students of mine look like they've been doing knife for years.

I think we're only scratching the surface wih this thing.

Hope to see you at a seminar some time.

i have received today the new gunting, i love it. period.
now, since i live in italy and i cant attend to a seminar, there's a book or any other resource for learning the basics of gunting manipulations ?

thanks , and thanks spyderco and bram for producing such a masterpiece.

Bram will be in Germany 3-4 times this year. You could make the trip if you want. We'll probably hit Prague as well. The UK too. How about Israel?

If you still can't make it to any of those seminars, the "Instructor's View" and "Modular" DVD sets are the way to go. Try here: www.CSSDSC.com

(The "online catalog" is down right now, but should be up soon.)

thanks for the infos! i'll check the calendar and will see (between work & wife & son & dog..)
anyway i'll get the dvd for sure, and i'll bring the gunting to my next seminar of "scrima italiana" - a mix between traditional italian knife fighting and modern combat - and we'll see what my instructor say :)

..for sure i hope to be able to attend one of the seminars.. no plan for france or suisse ? ..but maybe the uk could be possible..

regards.the gunting is my EDC now..hope the LEO here dont find it too much aggrssive.. :)

ps which way of carry you advice for the G ? belt sheath ?, which one ?

Sorry for the delay..Finals were upon me.

Kudzu-you can Email me, and join our cult here..Bram is the Best! It behooves you to come down-the classes are in Clearwater-I know that it's kind of a haul from Brandon, but Steve has to travel from Canada, Eh?

Disorder-Martin Müller makes and sells sheaths at the gunting-museum.com site-shipping from germany has to be cheaper, Paisano..

on another note, Due to some Holiday Financing crises of my own, and being wised up to everyone else's, the seminar is way cheaper now..Give yourself a gift this season..the Para and 'Fly won't be out for a while, and for the same price, you can get 2 full days of fun, fun, fun! And it's a gift that you'll always have!:D
--Joe

Djios, paisa' :)
surely will check the museum, and i'll try to manage to reach a place where i can follow a seminar.. the problem isnt the seminar fee, is that i must travel about 1000 km for the nearest, plus hotel etc.. and here in europe we are still suffering of crisis..
maybe in future the EU-Gunting-Crowd will arrange somethin in south france or italy..

steve, thanks a lot, with robert i had several good deal, Sastre i tried to contact him ,but no luck..
anyway think the museum is the best option since is in Eu.
Thanks all

ciao

With some luck, I'll eventually get to Bari, where my grandparents are from. I have other family around Torino, and Roma, but it looks like that trip will be a little ways off--Joe

Dijos, would be great a meeting in italy, i live near french border, on seaside, so enuf far away from Bari, but -if you want- drop me an email, maybe in that period i'm in Roma for job.

anyway, thank for infos..the G. is growing on me,the only prob here is that a LEO friend of mine said that i could get in trouble with law with it. the law here is really strict
(you know, same ole story: media blowin' on fire of "more crime, more control" so erosion of civil rights so less freedom..
result, more crime.again.
ad libitum.
