does anyone have old musket or ww2 collections that match their khukri? old gurhka uniforms? if we cant find real collectors of these things can we follow the thread of the others and post pictures about the history of the gurkha and especially what weapons were used along side them in the victorian wars , and the two great wars, all the way to the modern antiterrorist uses?

I did not know if it would be better to start new thread or go in the other excellent one, up to the mods at this point !

post pictures of khukri's at war and the weapons used alongside them!

One word: Berkley. He has more of this stuff than anyone else I've seen. He posts much of this sort of thing on Spiral's site. He is a wealth of information.

I'm always happy to share what my bride refers to as my "old junk". I've posted several threads in the Guns of the Gurkhas subforum at IKRHS.

Here are some 19th century guns that would have been used by (or in a couple of cases against) Gurkhas:

This is a Nepalese copy of the Brown Bess, with the Gurkha temple emblem of Bhimsen Thapa on the lock. It has one of the rare "kukri" (actually chupi) bayonets:

Here is a Nepalese copy of the British P53 Enfield rifle musket, with a few contemporary sidearms:

This 1909 SMLE No.1 MkIII is accompanied by a MkI kukri , P07 bayonet, and a complete set of WWI Gurkha kit (minus entrenching tool).:

In addition, there are Nepalese-made copies of the Brunswick officer's musket, Snider short rifle, Nepalese designed Francotte Martini and Gehendra Martini rifles, and a British East India Company Pattern F musket, some of which are shown in the first pic above.
Some other contemporary military blades:

Very cool, Berkley. :)
I don't have any rifles that old. :(
I see you have the same scale I do, I love it, and for $25, it's a great value.

beautiful berkley ! thanks for posts , I plan on getting a few muskets eventually, great collection !

That's a phenomenal collection. Fantastic. I to don't have anything close to that era but I sure like looking at it.

Thanks much for posting those.

That Farm knife actually looks pretty good. A good match.

I'd need a fork lift to lift that dumb bell though. You some kind of Swartznegger or something. Thing must be 30#.

I'm gonna start calling you sir just to be safe.

yeah its an old solid iron 60 lb , dont worry im flimsy i can barely lift it one handed ! yeah chiappa should get with HI and release a line of chiappa tactical khukris

Its a Hanshee made this year. The pic with the Ishapore 2A1 has it side by side with an earlier M43 from 2002.

can't wait to add some hanshee and m43 to my collection! great guns, man great everything
