Anyone around here have one of the new Gurka Kukri's in 3V or 4034? I've got the itch for one and curious as to if any folks around here have used or tested one yet.

For kukris, you can also check out Kailash Blades. For around 100 to 150 bucks, you get an awesome tool and get to support Nepalese craftsmen. They make traditional as well as modern blades of their own design.

Himalayan Imports are also highly regarded around these parts. Never owned one though. I believe our friend Steelygunz is a kukri aficionado.

Just my two cents though. Happy hunting and let us know if you buy a kukri!

I kind of like the rubber handles on the Cold Steel Kukri and 3V would also be a treat except for the price. I guess a nice 5160 Kukri would work as well but no rubber handle models that I've seen other than CS.

Holy Batman dollars Robin!!
You could get a Busse, Carothers, or gee whiz an awesome custom for less than that!! For $764.99 I want to to see Lynn Thompson himself grind the blade while he is also stuffin dollar bills in MY Gstring!!
If you're a woman and good looking and fit he might just be up for that. Other wise most likely NOT! 😁

Perhaps the handle should be gold inlaid with precious stones and the ivory case carved by the most important artisan and signed by LT, GSM and 10 world-famous entertainers including Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Predator and Bruce Lee ghost. At this price.

I can understand that GSM wants to make up for some of the money they spent buying Cold Steel, and that means a price increase. Ok, fine, problem is they have risen the prices on some of these knives to absolute absurd levels that are nothing more than pure GREED of the highest order .

I've been cringing over that $750 Kukri since it was announced.

I have a feeling the street price will be a few hundred less in 3V. Like mentioned already I've seen them listed for a lot less that CS's price mentioned. I'm just waiting for them to hit the market. Heck I just seen the fancy Espada at 2 bills right now, so I wouldn't worry too much about the prices they will come down.

I looked it up at one online store and it is $611.99.

It would be a better deal to get a kukri from Himalayan Imports and then have a custom kydex sheath made for it, and there will still be enough change for other knives.

I've thought about that, but a site named after a ship list them at 5 but no stock yet.

For a few bucks more, I believe Kailash also offers micarta handles. Just check out their site. I get what you mean though. I’m actually a fan of CS’s rubber handles. Nearly perfect for hands of all sizes, gloved or not.

Ha! Ha! I was on their forum yesterday checking out different blades and it sounds like a 13" blade with a tapered tang and micarta handles with the performance grind sounds nice. Thanks,

I Expect the street price to be about $350. Folks have no problem spending $500+ on the San mai version which is inferior to 3V.

I am unconvinced that we will ever see any of these in 3V at any price. They still haven't delivered the Trailmaster in 3V.
