Dean,
Thanks for keeping us posted on this kind of stuff. Your contributions are always valuable and welcome. ;)

Current news reports seem to indicate that thay will get British citizenship and full army pensions when they retire. This has (shamefully) been little known here in the Uk, and hopefully will be put right ASAP

A man who has served under a flag for 22 years should be able to stay.

Not right if they deny him that right.

on one of the nether channels. They were questioning T-Blair, and he also seemed to feel that it would be addressed soon, and properly.

Lots of Gurkhas are allowed to stay if they have found jobs & this fellow would be a productive member of society as well as his army time was in a medical unit,

But he weakend his own case intialyby telling a lie & by trying to set a new precedance that Nepali could live in England to escape the moaists.

Dont think the Nepalese king or British public would appreciate that.

Personaly I belive if youve done 15+ years in The British army you should be able to stay, But of course that means his pention wouldnt be getting spent in the Nepalese economy either.... & Nepal gets even poorer. :(

Complex issue realy I guess.
