Gurkha Regiment Plaque

Hi all. I was not sure of the best section to post this. Mods please move if there is a better spot.

This is a plaque I bought at a flea market about 25 years ago. I think I paid about $5 for it. I thought it was pretty neat, and maybe some of you will too.

It's hard to see the regiment pins. I can try to get better pics of them if anyone is interested.

About 2 -3 years ago I saw a plaque like that with two miniature khuks on it with some badges... For $25 IIRC... Yours looks a wee bit more authentic!

I unfortunately don't have any history on the piece.

I guess it came from India and not Nepal, judging from the Kuk engraving and style. I don't know if was just made as a "tourist" item, or if it has any more to it than that.
