I picked up a copy of Gurkhas by Byron Farwell last year at the Goodwill, and never got around to reading it. One of those reasons was that the original owner was a heavy smoker. He must have taken his book collection there too
. Anyway, I came across it the other day, and have been reading bits and pieces here and there (yep, the cigarette stench has worn off). I have always been enamored of the kukri, although I don't have any right now, and I haven't been disappointed yet by the book.
How accurate is the book? Let me add that I don't know anything about Farwell :foot:.
