gut hook sharpening

I have a Game Skinner blade w/ a gut hook. The gut hook needs sharpening & I don't know a good way to do it. I seek the wise council of the experienced members here. Thanks

do you have a dremel tool? i can send you detailed instructions and pictures on how to sharpen a guthook using a dremel. if not you use a wooden dowel and some abrasive cloth wrapped around it. the grit you start with depends on how dull the edge is. you work your way to a finer grit till you get it sharp.
