I think that Mark only interjects when there is a question asked to CRK. His role as a moderator seems to be customer service outlet to the forum. I also know that the CRK shop is a very busy place, and I'm sure he has better things to do than get into arguements with people wasting his time.

Whoa there!! Such harsh accusations!! I have been called many things but never gutless!
First let me say that Mr. the_artist has a point… to a certain degree. I should be more active on our forum and my goal in the near future is to play a more active role with the discussions as they evolve. However, the point is well taken that we cannot respond to each and every topic. To do so would be redundant! In most cases, with the interaction that occurs, the questions are answered without us needing to comment. There are many knowledgeable people on the forum who have the right answers and we are grateful to them for their input. Please note that the forum is checked each and every day. If questions are asked and do not receive an immediate reply, it’s not that we don’t care. I’m probably busy working on a deadline for our new Knives Illustrated ad or I’m working on a dealer newsletter or I’m trying to finish the updates for our new web site, etc. etc. etc…If we need to reply, then we reply.
The forums represent an environment where all kinds of people, from all walks of life can verbally indulge in their passions…. KNIVES! Chris Reeve Knives is here to serve you. By now everyone should know that if there is a problem or questions, they can write us, call us, come to visit us in Boise, ID, talk to Chris personally, whatever. Our philosophy on customer service is impeccable. We will do what it takes to make it right!
