gutted my zdp mini cyclone

had a chance to open my mini cyclone today -the assist stopped working-

its a bit different than the other kershaw assists i have opened up(leek) because of the on/off feature-

no biggie the torsion bar snapped is all- i have spare parts if i decide to fix it-

not sure if i am- i might try and find some metal spacers to replace the plastic spine thingy- the inside is always getting full of crap at work,if i do leave it open at least the stuff will fall thru into my pockets-lol


i dont know why but it seems even smoother than before,blade just fly's open
 
I still haven't opened up any of my Cyclones yet, and I'm curious if there is anything about the on/off wheel that might pop out and fly across the room that I need to watch out for when I finally do take apart one of my Cyclones? I know that the blade has to be open (to take tension off of the torsion bar), but is there anything else that I need to be aware of?

roconey......its glockmann we're talking about here. something is bound to go flying. either a finger :eek: or a washer or something! lol.

any way, could you possibly take pics of the inside of the cyclone?
 
I opened one up.... the on off wasn't working. It's worth the look. a simple mechanism really. the problem was a quick fix
