Guyon

Recording on Guyon's phone says "We're sorry, Mr. Guyon can't come to the phone right now. He's taking inventory of his Beckers." :D

What did you get?

The Becker Market seems to have dried up pretty quick. Wow.
You know, I'm actually seeing quite a few for sale on the different forums, but I guess I'm just not ready to buy duplicates of knives I own at the prices being offered. That may be one of those moments in the future when I slap myself in the head and say "What was I thinking," but only time will tell.

It's not as though I can say the prices are inflated, because if there's someone willing to buy one at the price offered, then the marketplace has done it's thing. I'm happy with the ones I have now, but like the rest of you, I would certainly like to have just one more. ;)

Wow, where'd you find the BK5? Do you, Guyon, and Bladite all live where there is a rich, natural deposit of BK&T BK5s? Between you three, you must have a high percentage of all that were produced! :D

The BK5 has been pretty rare for a number of years now. I go to a couple big knife shows each year (Chicago area and the Badger show in WI), and I have never seen one for sale. I should have bought one back in the day, but at the time I was so happy with my BK2 and BK3 that I didn't think I wanted anything else. Yep. I was wrong.

Edit: Holy Guacamole! There's a BK1 on eBay that is currently going for $197.50! With 4 days left on the auction!!!!

If that is the one I am thinking of, it does not even have a box with it.
If these prices keep up, I may have to put a couple of my BK1s on Ebay.

Been out of touch lately. Congrats! That was a great price. You actually have more Camillus BK-5's than I do now. I have three. That makes four for you if my count is right. Two for each hand! (I'm not counting Blackjack Magnum Camps here.)

well, i've been collecting some of the rare ones for years and years (10-15?), though some of the shakeups have caused quite a few to pop up in the last 6-9 months... and now there's a lull again.

mmm, camillus going away here. aw, that's a shame. rollup? sounds like katamari damacy. die hard camillus/becker fans will always find a place to post about their loves. just ask :)

and ePray. wow. $110 for a necker (not including shipping)... only $167 for a machax... $110 for a crewman... and the brute is doing $200. wow.

need a cheap alternative to the tac-tool? looks like CRKT is selling a kit now. no idea on quality/anything... but i saw a picture of one. pretty close, but with improvements. neat.

i never thought my beckers would be VALUABLE? maybe it's temporary, but they're going into the safe. oh yeah.

long live the camillus forum...

Wow, $220 for the BK1 on Ebay. I have been thinking of buying another house, and need "several" grand for the down payment, maybe this is the time to start selling...............

Guyon,

Do you have any pictures of the pre Camillus Becker BK3?

I'm looking at somthing that looks like a home made deal???

there's a newer one, shorter, and wider, and in a bead blast stainless, that was made i believe by blackjack. guyon has pix of that around. i've been waiting for good light/etc to get out and photograph the hoard.

i'm also still hunting for a few models i don't have yet ;)
