Does the SS Guyot fit (with or without the cup) good in the falcon pigmy bottle holders? thanks!

Yes!
I was just checking that for a customer. The bottle fits in there very well. It fits with the cup as well. The cup goes in and comes out a little snug, but its not bad at all.

Maxpedition wants to know what colors people are interested in. There needs to be a demand for them to put new colors in production.
So, let me know and I will send them a list of what we want!

Mine will only fit the bottle, not the bottle and cup :grumpy:. It is just too tight for the cup, even if I remove the handles. Maybe the newer versions have wider bottle holders ? If so, make sure you get the newer version.

I've got both a Pygmy Falcon and the Pygmy Falcon II - the bottle/cup combo fits in both if one hasn't over-stuffed the main compartment... Which is one of the reasons I fell for the combo! :D

And to LupaWolf - I recently ordered mine, well, within the last few months: I want to publicly thank you for a very swift transaction and shipping - it was a great pre-Christmas package when it got here!!!

Yes, that is me in my avatar.

Yes, the pouches on the new packs are bigger!

And you are most welcome! Glad I could be of service. :)

sorry for jumping in,but are maxpedition coming out with internal frame packs

How can one tell the difference between a Pygmy Falcon and a Pygmy Falcon II?

I would LOVE to see the Remora and Lunada in "non-tactical" colors.
They seem so well-suited to everyday ventures outside of the woods and are not the compromise that the $10 to $20 bags I have wasted so much time and money on in the past several years. I can take the razzing about carrying a "purse" but not the Rambo-affiliation razzing.

I actually selected ACU for my Lunada, rationalizing that "camo is cool" now and doesn't attract that much attention. Not that I am that shy or self-conscious, but still prefer to be as invisible as possible regardless of where I am. So strange that using camo in a crowd is actually, well, "camo."

Thanks for the update on the site... that is a relief!!

I have not heard anything definitive on internal frame packs, but I will ask again.
And I will let them know we want Lunada and Remora in new colors.

The Pygmy Falcon is smaller, as the name suggests. It also has external bottle holders, which the Falcon II does not. The Falcon II has a hydration bladder pouch instead, but bottle holders can be easily attached to the outside. A lot of good reviews have the 10X4 bottle holders nicely attached.
The Pygmy Falcon II is designed for a day hike, the Falcon II for a longer trek.
