Ok talk about your real dilemas!! Ayyy!! OK what should I do!! Accept or do I go to another site and get an FRN with VG-10??

I have checked with ALL my distributors AND Spyderco and am only able to locate the SpyderEdge.
After knives are discontinued, it's very difficult to try to find the more popular models. We deal with
the top distributors in the U.S., and even have some private sources where we can usually locate
and buy knives.

I tell you what I do have... I have a Plain Edge Spyderco Calypso, Jr. with Black Micarta Handles.
It was only produced for a short time a few years ago and was almost immediately discontinued.
I can let you have it for $120 + s/h.

Please let me know if you're interested. I've made this offer to other individuals as well.

Patience.

It looks like a plain-edged Calypso Jr. with either VG-10 or D2 will be out soon enough. Just wait for it and save your money until then.
 
Thanks for the reply. I don't know. I am still considering it, becuase I can always get one of the new sprint Calypso's much much easier than this Micarta version. (I am going to buy the new Calypso Jr. when it comes out of course.) I hope its VG-10! D2 is fine, but I like VG-10 in a folder and D2 is more for a fixed blade.

There's a NIB "C52BMS" that was listed yesterday on a big auction site. ;)
I noticed it this morning during my daily scan.
You might want to check it out. :cool:
 
It would help if you where clear about what you are asking us for.

$120 for the Calypso Jr. seems steep to me, plus it's not what you want. I'd say keep looking or waiting.
 
I'm just asking if you think I should wait and attempt to get an FRN model or should I go for the Micarta version for $120.

I love your taste in knives. Benchmades and Spydercos, you can't go wrong. So I'm going to trust your opinion and turn this down. Thanks everyone for replies.

If anyone is interested I know of a place that has a PE Calypso jr VG10.Email me if you want the ph#.I think it was 57.99.
 
i wouldn't pay that much for a calypso jr, there's a bunch of limited edition on newgraham thats around 120. IMO those are a much better buy. Not saying spydercos aren't good or anything thats just the first thing that came across my mind since i just came from the newgraham site. That black g10 limited 730 is very nice, i'd get it if i didn't have the limited carbon fiber one already
 
I would not pay $120 for a Micarta one. They have moved in B/S/T not that long ago for $50-65.

I think that a surplus store here in town has some PE Calypso Jr LWs for ~$65, let me know if you want me to go check out if they still have them.

Are you talking about a CF Calypso jr.? Never knew it was ever made a CF batch!
