I have an H-1 blade that is truly rust proof. I have swam in the ocean with it and left it wet for weeks ext ext....Now I am looking at the H20 Griptillian and it coms in X15 T.N. and I was wondering if it truly rust proof like H-1? Or is it close but you still have to rinse it off after a salt bath or dry it off when it gets wet?

its pretty close but not as resistant as H-1. Ive got a Benchmade 100sh20 fixed blade in x15.tn. It has some small surface rust on the spine, but nothing bad. Ive never cleaned it off after using it in the 2 yrs ive had it. Ive yet to have any of my h-1 blades show any kind of corrosion though.

Just out of Curiousity how would yall compare H1 and X15 T.N. to N680? because thats what my BM111 is in and I thought that was Bm's water steel as it were

never owned anything in N680. I will say this about the X15.tn, it has had better edge retention on the plain edges than my spydercos with plain edge in H1. Serrated blades are another story though

The springs in the Benchmade, I expect they are not as rustproof as the blade.

But I'll love a folder with H1 steel but not a lockback :)
