Hi Everyone,
I am new to the axe and tomahawk forums, but I thought you guys might like to see my new H&B Forge spiked tomahawk. I am very happy with it. I enjoy reading all of your comments on different makers. Thanks for looking.

Regards,

Nice hawk, Kirk. The spike is different than others I've seen from H&B in the past. Is it a new model or was it a special order?

Hi Brian,
It is a special request, but they told me that they have had a lot of requests for this hawk.

Hey Kirk, nice hawk. Mine is heavy as hell. I'm not allowed to fondle it in the house cuz "if you drop that thing, it will kill the dog! Or put a hole the floor."
How thick is yours on the spike side and the ax side? There I was thinkin I had an original idea. Dern it. Mine was same price btw.

I got one just like it. Mine was made on the squaw hawk design as I wanted something that was light. I wrapped my handle with paracord and it looks great. H&B forge makes some great hawks for the money.

could you repost your pics? I have been on there website and can't get a good look.

Thanks,

Bill

Can you post a link to H&B Forge?

I have two H&B Forge 'hawks. The first is the squaw size of the boarding axe style. It's a great light weight axe. The second is heavier and has the traditional arrowhead shaped spike. It's a little unusual because it uses their large size handle shortened in length. The extra weight makes it more tiring to swing but it REALLY hits hard!
The quality and price of their products absolutely cannot be beat! I put in just a little work on the edges with a stone and then stropping and both 'hawks will shave now.

Anyway you can repost the pictures of the spike hawk, I was gonna buy a spike hawk from them soon and wanted to know how yours was different. Thanks.

Also if anyone can post any good pictures of an H&B i'd appreciate it, their website photos aren't too great, or any infprmation about custom orders done there.

I orderd a hawk form H&B and recieved it a few days ago, i got the shawnee head with the arrow like spike on the back and it is nice. throws well and if you overrotate the spike will stick in the tree. only trouble i had is that i managed to break the shaft under the eye the second day I had it. it wasnt even that hard of a hit and ive thrown cs hawks much more aggressivly without breaking them. i still love the hawk and ill take some pictures as soon i get a replacement handle. definitly a nice quality hawk, my friend got a throwing knife from them at the same time and its definitly nice.
