HEST EDC owners how do you carry your knife? I just mine today and the

only comfortable way Ive found is RF pocket or LR pocket. RF pocket is

much more comfortable than LFP. With horizontal belt carry & shirt untucked

the handle sticks out too much. Ive tried vertical because I dont think it

would work well.

Whats the best edc carry with your HEST?

The past four or five days, I just slip it into whatever pocket is handy. So far, that has worked fine.
I am still looking into something more permanent.

I carried it vertical on a tek-lok but that was too involved and not flexible enough. With the tek-lok off I can carry right rear pocket or tuck it into a pocket on my gear bag or lay it on the kitchen counter.

Right rear pocket is OK. I read somewhere that knivesshipfree.com has for sale leather pocket sheaths. They hold a fixed blade and a flashlight or pocket knife, two seperate compartments.

I usually keep it on my pack strap now, but I've also used the cord lock and paracord to wear it vertical on my belt (sheath between belt and pants), with the pry bar forward with no problems. I just draw it in an underhand grip which I'm used to. Sometimes I carry it in a front pocket and sometimes a cargo pocket. It all depends on what I'm wearing and where I'm going.

This is the same exact way I tried to carry it today and it worked well for me. I just got my HEST this morning (thank you Knifeworks.com for the fast shipping!), and tried wearing it around town for a few hours. It was very comfortable and didn't stick out at all under a loose fitting, untucked, button down shirt.

Came in very handy for slicing lime wedges for some coronas on this beautiful Cinco De mayo

I had shotty rig me up a fold over sheath. I rfp, rrp it. Works well like this I think.

I'm tempted to have leatherman make up a Randall style with horizonal carry. It would put the attachment point high enough on the handle it would not stick out on cross draw

The HEST works surprisingly well fro food prep to have such a short blade. I haven't done lemons or limes with it yet but I have done potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, and mushrooms for soup and it worked really well.

BTW I carry mine on my belt.right side behind my Multi tool.

I carry mine IWB with a loop made by Bud Nealy. works awsome and adds no thickness to the sheath. I will try to get pics. I just got the knife last friday so still working out the bugs. The stuff that it comes with doesnt allow IWB carry witch is how I like to carry.

when out on the woods it always ride on my pack's shoulder strap..
