Is there some trick to it?
I removed all the male screws from the outward side of the knife, but the frame components still refused to move, and I was afraid to pry at it. It's an awesome knife, I don't go anywhere without it now, but I really don't like that it doesn't come apart easy. That's a big part of the maintenance ritual for me.
Has anybody else had better luck dismantling theirs?

Leave the studs in the Ti side. That's it - it's a simple knife to take apart and put back together.

I don't have one, but I have read reports of people saying that the G10 is pressed on the studs very tight, and it needs some levering to get it off.

Perhaps somebody who has done it can chime in with some help.

I disassembled/re-assembled my HEST folder this afternoon in order to get a GITD scale on it. Was a fairly straight forward and easy process. Simply undo the screws, leave them in the ti side as suggested, the only "hard" part is have to slow and evenly lever the G10 scale off. I did this with a pry tool and it went well. Other then that no issues. Re-assembly was non-eventful.

Yup - just wiggle the G10 off and help it along with a non-marring pry tool. I used the rubberized handle of a wire stripper. Also, unscrew the dark side of the pivot screw until the last thread or two then push it through to pop the Ti side pivot screw out of its hole.

Why are you taking it apart anyway? I have never taken apart a folder, even one full of blood and sand. Hot water, q-tips and wd-40 has maintained all of my folders, 15 to 20 yrs of use for some and never dissasembled other than just loosening the pivot screw to flush out sand then retightening.

So many times I have seen many types of machinery, equipment and tools made worse by taking apart to clean or bored tinkering.

If it ain't broke don't fix it IMOP( pounded into head by my german grandpa)

I took mine apart to bend the lockbar in more because of lock rock from the factory. It worked too. No more lock rock. The HEST/F 2.0 is finicky IMHO. All I did was tweak and adjust for the first week I had it because of lock rock and the pivot adjustment was either too tight or side to side play. It was not easy to get it just right. After reassembly with a nice pivot cleaning and careful, judicious lubrication, it's as good as it will ever be.

Honestly, I'd save up $25 extra bucks and get a ZT 0550 if I had the choice to make again. My 0550 and 0551 are easily worth $150 more that my HEST/F 2.0 as far as form and function go, IMHO.

An aftermarket scale?
