I was handling my H.E.S.T. today and had a thought. If I reversed the grips (if possible) my thumb would sit more comfortably on the edge of the Micarta instead of the 'point' as it were.

I think it looks a little odd to start. But to me seems a little more comfortable to grip.

Whatever works best for you, I don't care if it means coating the thing with rubber cement and pouring a bucketof sand on it :p If it makes the knife nicer for you to handle then it's a good change :)

Looks like a simple change that can possibly make the thumb positioning more comfortable, good thinking

i guess if one where so inclined and crafty that they could make thicker/thiner, different color, more or less grippy

I may do the same when I take delivery of my H.E.S.T.

Looks like it'll aid in precise grip.

That's awesome:cool: Thanks for showing that:thumbup:

Looks good. I should be getting my HEST in the mail tomorrow, I'll definately try that:thumbup:

Sure, that works, but for me... my thumb goes on my knuckles, like when making a fist; or, it goes on the jimping area for finer work.
