So for those of who own, or plan on getting one, what are you going to put inside the handle scales?

i was toying with the idea of creating a pocket for a handle-less firesteel on a paracord that can be easily slipped in and out.

Since I bought mine for a carry in a more day to day urban environment, rather than wilderness stuff, I put cash and a small paper with phone numbers of friends and family and pre-paid calling card info.

Damn good idea :thumbup::thumbup:

I'm kind redundant on that stuff, I have a Bison capsule on my Izula neck cord with the same stuff in it, and another one on my keyring.

I call it my "I've lost everything but what's on me" kit, so I have emergency cash and a way to call for a ride! :D

M&M's............................................................

.....just kidding of course. I don't have the H.E.S.T..............................yet.

you gotta fold it up, not a good idea if you want it to do its job...

Exactly, you beter put it over the handle.

Now that's a first, a preservative knife instead of just survival.

Not in you H.E.S.T. ???????:D:D

Alass, no HEST here either. Maybe some day.

I'd just stuff a bunch of paracord in there and forget about it until it's needed!

A firesteel somewhere in there might come in handy, too.

How's that gonna go?

You: "Oh baby...hold on a second..." *Pulls out HEST*
Girl: "Aaiiiieeeeee!!!!!!!!"
You: "No...wait...I know this looks bad..."

LOL :D

Bear has exactly what I would put in between the scales of a HEST. Smart man.
