My big brother has finally figured out that i am interested in pocket knives, today he pitched up to go out for lunch and passed this on to me, said it had been in an old jar of nuts & bolts in his workshop for years, anyhow i cleaned it up just enough to see what it is and to be honest i am non the wiser other than it is made by H Fisher of Sheffield.

Harrison Fisher Sheffield Sleeveboard Lobster, common Sheffield pattern

The secondary is an interesting clip looking blade versus the more common pen blade. Looks like it had a hard life with use and sharpening.
Cool to see though.

Thanks Jack and Charlie, i had figured out the sleeveboard part but the lobster i did not get until i looked at more pictures in Google Images and it is easy to imagine lobsters waving their pincers about. I assume the long thin spike is for cleaning out your pipe, what i used to call a "Dottle Prodder" in my pipe smoking days.
Bob.

It does look like a 'prodder' Bob  Sometimes you get a nail-file on similar-looking knives.

Just came across a pic of this one just now, passed it along to another member here :)
