I just got off the phone with a very nice gentleman who told me he designed a knife set made by H. G. Long Co. for the American Historical Foundation in 1982-83. The Foundation provided me with his number. I am seeking information on a 4 piece knife set of the Pacific War in WWII: "The Battle for a Road", "In Honor of Merrill's Marauder's", "In Honor of World War II Victory in China, India, & Burma", and "10th Air Force Flying the Hump". He told me they originally sold for $295.00 each, but does not have any idea of what they are now worth. Can anyone tell me what their current value is, or where I can find out? I looked on online auction sites, but didn't find any similar to these. I know nothing about them, so any information is greatly appreciated.
