One of the best lightweight do-what-ya-really-need belt knives out there. I still have my original, but my ever trusty "Corporal" (a hand tuned Sarge that was rescued from a broken tip by the guy who designed it in the first place **cough**kismet**cough**) just got back from doing food and camp prep with me on a week long RV trip with my mother-in-law. I brought it along because the knife means a great deal to me. I figured bringing something along that I would hate to lose to police evidence would keep me from throwing it at her...I kid, I kid. ;)...mostly.

The lil' Corporal along with my Fiddleback Woodsman did a fine job of setting up our modest basic campsite (I mean, we didn't need much. We were in a 35' RV). I brought along a bigger Siru for the warm-fuzzies it offers, but mostly I did just fine with my basic "little" knives. I actually even got a fire going with a flint and steel, something first brought my attention by Sarge (the man the knife was named after) here on these very boards some years ago:D

Going back to my Fiddleback, check out Andy's rendition of the Sarge knife in Kis' pic. That's his on top crossing the original. I can't say it enough. Andy Roy (aka Fiddleback) makes some of THE finest custom knives out there at some ridiculously low prices for what you get. Andy won't admit it, but his work is easily worth double what he charges. I consider his knives a peer to HI's in terms of quality of craftsmanship/value for your dollar. I adore my HI knives. I never leave the house without SOME sort of HI product. But the absolute best woods walking "survival" knife in my collection is my Woodsman custom made for me by Andy. There isn't an adventure I go on that I don't bring a full sized khuk AND Andy's knife with me.

Plus, he's just an awesome all around guy:)
