I just got my first Tin Chirra! It is the most beautiful khukuri I have bought to date! Bura made this one and is the classic Tin Chirra design. The spine/fullers are perfect, 3 beautiful waves!

What were the extra "waves" originaly for? I remember a post that said they were to make the blade lighter and stronger(they sure make it more beautiful). Uncle Bill said that they (tin chirras) are even beefer than an Ang Khola. Mine is heaver than most of my 15 inch AK's.

Any way I plan to get more of these to put in tho 'ol collection and I highley recomend you guys try one of these on for size!:)

Man I need to get a digital camera! But that would mean I would have to skip a khukuri or two!!:barf:

A YCS??? A Hanshee???? A Tin Chirra WHAT for Pete's sake. WHERE COULD I HAVE MISSED SOMETHING LIKE THAT

Hi Wal! I special ordered her a month or two back, pre paid and all so no other slick mits would get her!!:D

We are picking in fun (at this point) to give you additional chance to chortle and lord it over your new addition. BEWARE, however....if we don't get pics, Y'ALL GONNA BE IN DEEP SHEEP DOO..Sheesh - I'm shouting almost as much as Tsimi. Wait till he reads this thread :D

Sheep is unbearable in cattle country, and longhorn poo would be obnoxious in wooly world....Chris is in Colorado, so neither one may faze him...they have both...we gotta do better and come up with something really intimidating.....
YAK YUCK :D Chris, you will be cursed with hundreds of pounds of YAK YUCK (as soon as JP is well enough to fly it over) if pics don't appear :barf:

Isn't she a Manisha Koirala?

I just love Bura's Tin Chirra! Mine is 18" OAL and pls don't be surprise that it weighs about 1.5 lbs only! Light and strong! I am not surprise at all to know that Bura is a Royal Kami!

I remember that either Cliff Stamp or Will Kwan mentioned that the extra waves are theoritically act as a shock absorbers. My 2 cents personal view is that those Chirras either in AK or any dui chirra or tin chirra are actually to make the lighter blade stronger. In the field work or in the battle field the beefy and heavy blade is stronger but the heavier the blade will cause fatigue faster! I personally prefer a light and strong blade for my field work whereby I can easily handle the blade for more works in a more longer hours. I guess it will be the same in the case of a battle field ... anyhow those MA practitioners knows better than me!

I guess Ray also has a Tin Chirra! BTW; it is quite a long time I didn't hear from Ray.

Hi guys! I will try to get a pix and have Uncle Bill post it! Anything to keep the Yah Yuck away from me!!!!:D

Chris, it looks like it's pix or else a truckload and tanker truck full of all sorts of nasty stuff will be heading for Colorado. HFC.

I'm just wonderin' if our good fellow Chris has forgotten about this?
I know it couldn't be any of the guys who are threatening all kinds of YAK YUCK to be bestowed around on an in the vicinity of Chris's head.:p  ;)

And I wouldn't mind seein' a pix either. H.I.'s own Tin Chiarra just has to be interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
