H&K 14716 Mini

I couldn't find it either so I called BM customer service. They didn't have that spec handy (odd) and it's not on their site so they said they would get back to me.

As soon as I hear back I'll post it here.

Edited to add:

I just saw that GPKnives has it listed as 0.132"

I'll still update once I hear back from BM customer service.

Hope this helps.

I see the GP Knives add. Pretty thick for a small knife?

RamZar, that sounds a little better, did you mike yours?

At about $90 the H&K 14716 is one of the best values out there for a small well-made under 3" D2 blade folder with G-10.

I just heard back from Benchmade customer service. They said the blade thickness is 0.124". Have no idea where they took the measurement from or why there's a discrepancy with Ram's measurement but I'm inclined to believe him. Either way you should have a close enough idea of what it is now.

And I agree, the HK AXIS D2 series is probably one of the best values you can find. Both the full size and the Mini. I have the full size and can't say enough about it.

All the best!

It is definately a stout blade and rigged little package. Its slight a suped-up griptilian, just a tas smaller. Balde is a tad thicker, and the overall knife is just a little smaller.

Good for the days you want to be rough on a little knife.

The HK is a bit more stout but also "blocky" in the hand. It has areas that create hot spots in you hand of using the knife for prolonged jobs. The Ritter has the nylon handles with full liners but a more rounded feel in the hand making it a better "use knife" fro longer tasks.
I think but am not sure that the HK blade's spine is thicker.

I had both the large and small HK Axis but sold them in favor of my Mini Ritter S30V and my full sized S30V Ritter with aftermarket G-10 handles.
On paper the HK seem like a better value and they are a value but I think the Ritters make better EDC for me.

I doubt I will buy any other BM "minis" as I usually cerry the full sized these days. May build a all black M4 G-10 full size Grip in the Build your own feature. A bit pricey but I will have EVERYTHING the way I want it so that's fine with me.
