Okay guys, found this knife online today on the Benchmade website. Sounds like a solid knife to me. Its assisted opening and its plain edge. Well, I know Heckler and Koch make great firearms so I figures their blades must be supreme. Anyone got a detailed review or praise for any H&K knives or even Benchmade knives in general? Thanks

I don't have any of the H&K Benchmades, but I have both red box and blue box Benchmades and have never had any issues with quality or function.

the hk's are benchmades with the HK name on them, so the quality is the same as a benchmade. there are some pretty good HK's, the blitz looks like it the HK version of the benchmade nitrous stryker.

the nitrous stryker also comes in a tanto version as well

I've carried a HK14210 now for about 2 years. The sucker is tough. I just recently took it apart to clean it up. Everything cleaned up nice, no issues at all, put it back together and it went back in my pocket.

For what its worth, by reading how others on the forums treat their knives, I would think many here would say that I am a knife abuser. I don't baby them at all, and I use them for things other than cutting, like scraping and light prying, maybe some digging, who knows, if I need it for something I'll use it. It always seems to be the right tool for the job, and it always comes through in the end.

The difference between mine and the nitrous though is the 14210 has an axis lock. Don't know much about the liner or the assisted opening.

Benchmade's Nitrous IMO is one of the best assisted opening systems available.

I've had a few of the 913D2's, pictured in a post above. Great knife - very tough, very sharp out of the box, very comfortable in the hand & pocket.

If the Blitz is pretty much the same except in a smaller version I'd highly recommend it.

(The only thing that kept me from picking up a Blitz is that it looks like it has the thumbstud only on one side; I prefer dual thumbstuds - or a Spydie hole - for ambidextrous opening. I guess if I was really interested I could phone Benchmade and check on that, but I"m real happy with the somewhat larger 913D2.)

The Nitrous system is very effective.

I'd still rather have an MP-5 or a HK53 than any HK knife, however...

That's just me. :D
