Having a hard time deciding between the two. I recently sold my grip to replace it with the Ritter grip but came across this H&K and have become pretty fond of it. Which knife would you guys choose and why? Thanks.

I've had several of both. I really like the feel of the 14205. It's beefy knife with a super smooth action.

The place I found it at is only $99 which is a lot cheaper than the Ritter. I might just have to jump on this and wait a little for the Ritter.

The 14205 has been discontinued so I would jump on it while you can. I don't carry mine a lot but I bought a back up because it is one of the best designs Benchmade has put out.

Ryan Thats not a bad price. They come up occasionally on the exchange for a little less, it might take awhile if you went that route though. The 154cm on the 14205 is a nice steel that will take a really crisp edge. You'll like the knife I'm sure.

Well I decided to jump on the 14205. Seems like a way better deal than 120 for the Ritter. Thanks guys.

In case you have any buyers remorse, I also think the 14205 is nicer than the griptilian. It looks a little funny closed but that is the only downside. The handle feels nice in hand, better than a grip.

I have owned a 14205 and still have a few Ritter Grips. I found the 14205 to be a little awkward to open due to the placing of the finger groove lip on the underside of the handle.

I prefer the neutral handle shape and light weight of the Ritter.

I have a 14205 and really like it. I also have a 551 Grip, not the Ritter, but I prefer the 14205. Just watch when you are placing the knife in your pocket. The grip covers the blade, but it is possible to cut yourself if you push the folded knife down into your pocket with your thumb, which can end up on the knife tip. This is why I prefer tip down carry, but the BM axis lock is not conducive to that.

Still, I really like the 14205. Held next to me AT 0551, the blade is just as big, but the folded knife is a smaller package. Maybe the grip should have been slightly longer, but this is a great knife and the price is a steel.
