This knife remined me a lot of Boye's drop point hunters. If you every wanted to know how one of them cut, this is ground to a near idential profile.

It has an interesting combination of properties as the very thin edge give high shallow cutting ability and the very thick blade makes a very stout knife.

I can't believe no one replied to this thread.

I recently bought the H1 and love it!

Loved it before (from reviews) and have been saving money for a long time.
Now I'm carrying it around the house as much as I can.

If anyone has experiences with this knife, I'll gladly read about it!

Many thanks to Cliff!

O yeah, this was my first post here on Blade forums.

It is a great little knife. I've had mine for around five years now. It was convex ground when I got it. I have taken it to more of a vee grind over the years.
I have carried it in BiH and all over for training. It has been used as a pry bar, can opener, screw driver, hammer, and even to cut things. I like the lined leather dangler style sheath that it came with. It allows me to mount it on my trouser belt and then tuck it into my pocket. That way it is clear of all my gear. For a small knife it cuts big. Instead of chopping with it I usually just shave through what ever I can't slice. Its quieter than batoning and usually less labor intensive than chopping with a small knife.

alibi fire:
I tend to swap out between knives of this size, and larger (7in.) blades depending on what we are doing. For tooling around in the woods, I go with a larger knife as first line gear. If we are working areas with a large population or bouncing in and out of a base camp I move the big knife to my kit and go with the small knife on my belt.

I am a fan of Fallkniven knives; I have a G1 Garm Fighter. That H1 looks like a fantastic knife.

and even to cut things.
he he he, had to laugh.

Thanks for sharing you're use of the H1, it's realy that strong !?!

I like the G1 to, but it's against the law in Belgium to buy daggers

Fallkniven is one of the companies that see high strength as important in outdoor knives, they have break testing information on their website which may be of interest. There is also a forum on Knifeforums which gets a decent amount of traffic on Fallkniven blades so if you want to read about their knives that is a good place to spend some time. Peter also hangs out there so you can talk to the guy behind the knives directly.

About a year later, much more use with the knife, including a large amount of wood work. Review updated accordingly.
