H1 ladybug

Just got one new from a dealer. The backspring seems really loose. The opening and closing are smooth but too easy considering other Spydercos I've had in this size class. Is this a defect, or have the Ladybug 3s all been made with weaker springs?

It's hard to say based on a written description whether what you describe is normal or a defect. The backspring is definitely weaker than on a larger knife but is not so weak that I have considered it a defect.

I have two. Well me and my GF each have one. The spring seems plenty stiff on ours. But it's probably not going to compare to a large back lock. They do snap open and closed though with just the right amount of resistance and detention IMHO.

Shouldn't be doing that. Send it in for an inspection.
