  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

H1 reminds me of 1075/1095.

I've handled, worked with, and sharpened many steels. In my honest and peculiar (ironic) opinion, H1 performs like 1075 or 1095. They sharpen quickly and very keenly. They get SHARP. They don't keep the edge all that long compared to modern vg10, s30v, etc. They both are super tough. They can roll relatively quickly under hard stress but can be cleaned up in similar times on stones. Oddly enough, one is rust PROOF, one rusts quickly.

I understand the HUGE difference in composition and intended use.

Anyone else noted similar qualities?

Yes! But H1 is all about withstanding prolonged contact with salt-water.

I guess 1075 or 1095 lose by a lot compared on that quality...
