ha ha, cloudflare is blocking me

Do not piggyback Tech threads, even if it sounds to you like the same problem.
Spark will never see your question.

Try logging out, clearing cookies, and logging back in.

I'm piggybacking this because a) I'm positive it's the same problem as I personally have seen in the past, and b) there's no real rhyme or reason to what triggers it this time, because small posts are mostly going through. CloudFlare is bouncing back connections with error 524 when trying to POST back to the server, usually from a forum input like this. I saw another post a ways back indicating issues with posts of certain length not making it through CF. I've worked with CF enough to know that likely what's going on is not client-side, but I have gone ahead and "done the needful", as they say, confirming the same particular blocks of text, from multi-quoted multi-paragraphs to two simple lines without any quotes or inline images/links, and after the timeout period passes "waiting for www.bladeforums.com" (or similar) CF kicks in the 524 error and that's going to generally indicate something server-side. I've even managed to put through longer posts than the most recent one that consistently fails, so there's clearly something more esoteric to this.

Anyway, I saved the blocks of text that did cause the 524 error and managed to post one or two short ones at the same time, hoping to give some more info and maybe help finding this problem. I won't even put images inline, just links to other services in hopes that this post makes it through.

Failed post (3 browsers, 4 different revisions): <broken imgur.com link cut -- site is overloaded>

Edit: This is retarded. Imgur is broken now. The entire internet is conspiring to shut me up. I'll take the hint.

Hi, yeah, kind of the reason I piggybacked too, just to offer a "me too" and keep it on the radar,
as logging in/out won't change anything,
and chances of some admin stopping by at the right time to be able resolve the issue are unlikely

A few workarounds/solutions
change your IP, which can be a hassle (reset modem, dialup again)
let a few hours or a day pass, clouflare times out your denial,
reply to a different post inside the threads, since the block is based on your IP and bladeforums preview URL which includes postid (like newreply.php?do=postreply&t=1391120 )

another "solution" , for general forum posting, to avoid tripping traps like this,
compose your node outside of bladeforums,
then on bladeforums click reply/quote, preview once, then post

I just posted in the Traditional Forum, having had to pare out some single-quotes around a word ('cool') to keep CloudFlare from blocking it. Without the single quotes around the word, it accepts and posts the text. Try to put them back in (I did test this), that's apparently a CloudFlare no-no; blocked again.

Thanks for the tip
I tried again, and it is definitely blocking based on more than url/ip, its not liking some combination of words I used, so I removed the quotes, the two lines I wrote, and all but 2 of 11 links, and cloudflare let me post

I've changed some settings that may effect this. Please let me know if this persists

its blocking me in the fiddleback forge sub-forum and I am the General Manager of Fiddleback Forge

Researching this, it may be that your local browser has cached the pages - hit Shift + Reload and see if that changes it.

Vance it'd appear that your IP address attempted to do a SQLi injection and was blocked.

I am supposed to post our Fiddleback Friday post and this is going to make it difficult. That is where we sell the knives we have made all week.

Help please

It's doing it to me when I attempt to post a for sale ad. Yes, my GOLD subscription is current.

Cloudflare lists no support topics for "stoken expired" errors so I'm at a loss there. What OS and browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your cache an cookies?

Looks like you are using a mac with safari, can you try another browser?

Using a Mac and safari Mostly. I'll try another browser later but did clear everything with no luck. Now- I was eventually able to post but some of the content had to be removed. It was the offending issue. I posted my ad in several parts to see what it didn't like

I was just blocked too while trying to make a post, which is what brought me here. I did have the single word Pop in quotations and that must of been what triggered it. I tried clearing cookies and using a different browser and still blocked.

I have the same problem, I can't open a new topic.

EDIT: tried to remove quotes around a single word and worked.
