I intend buying a full-size hacksaw with an in-line handle. Either a Facom 599 or Beta 1727. Does anyone have experience with either of these hacksaws?

Thanks.

I recommend against it.
Buy a high-tension hacksaw (Stanley 15 or 20 series or similar) and Lenox 24 tooth bi-metal blades. It will cut so much better it will amaze you. The price is the same as the ones you listed.

Thanks Stacy E. Apelt. Needing the hacksaw I bought a Facom 599 yesterday. If you position the blade to cut on the pull there is no problem with lack of tension in the blade. I have used Japanese woodwork saws in the past that cut in the same way. My workbench is low and I bend to file, so that I am filing at elbow height, and kneel to saw.
