First I got to see my baby sister graduate from High School in the morning:

And after getting home from a hard days work (and while there finding I'd been approved to get Saturday off for a party) I found a box containing this:

It's the first knife I've had like it and it's absolutely GREAT!! I've only gotten to use it for splitting some wood for the fire pit so far but it'll see plenty more! I'm working on polishing up the blade and already worked on the edge straightening it out, evening, smoothing, and polishing. It's already tasted blood...though not mine....a family member's that was inebriated and accidently grabbed it by the blade :p it bit pretty hard!

Paul,

Looks like a great weekend in sunny southern CA.
Hope you got your little sis a Busse AD or GW for a graduation present.

Congrats on the NO-E.

Congrats to your sister,
You should get her something sharp to carry everywhere!!!

Paul that's just great! Congrats to your sister.... very happy for the both of you.

Congradulations to your little sis!

Nice snag on the blade and sheath combo as well.

Thanks guys :p I let her choose from my knives a while ago. She ended up with a stainless steel Endura for a beater and a CRK Small Classic with Coccobolo inlays for her "nice" knife. For graduation I went with some jewelry and some cash so she could take all her friends out for a nice dinner the other night. A set of tahitian pearls to her is as a Eu or SHBM to me :p

BTW: It WAS a beautiful day....bright sun/fresh breeze to keep you cool. Gotta love Socal.

Sweet NO-E. I just received on in the mail on Saturday. It's top notch. Haven't put it to use yet, but it's only a matter of time. E-handles just look so good. And they feel good as well.

It's a great knife! I got the Asymmetrical edge as sharp as possible between a waterstone, 1200 grit and a strop and it was chopping wood for the pit easier than the axe :p. I like having one that's got character too! You'll have a blast with yours. So far I've only chopped wood for about 20 minutes but it'll see plenty more where that came from!
