I had a very successful show at Harrisonburg this weekend. Two-day show - Friday and Saturday.
Good crowd and lots of them buying. I usually sell more to dealers than the public, but this year it was 50/50.

I sold around 100 blocks/scales in really nice quilted and curly maple. I had it dyed red, brown, and black ... plus a lot left natural. This year I cut most of it into scales of varying thickness and bookmatched them. That seemed to be a real big attraction.
Also sold more knives and stuff than usual. One knife I finished just before the show I wanted to get good photos of, but it went almost immediately. It was a bunka-bocho with the blade in mokume-san-mai. Handle was some very chatoyant quilted brown dyed maple that looked like the mokume pattern.. Sold some other nice kitchen blades including a curly maple yanagi-ba with a suminagashi clad blade.

Saw a few forumites there.
I took some photos of the table and will post them when I get home later today.

And I was hoping that we would finally see some of your knives..........post some pictures ! I think we all want to see your work. I've been waiting for pictures for seven years :(

It has been a while since I did a close-up set of photos, but t hasn't been 7 years:)
I try post them when I get a chance. Things are busy for me and taking close up photos with good light is always something I plan on doing but often the knife is gone before the photos happen.

OK, here are a few phone shots:
Everything rolled in.
24 feet of wood scales.
Close up of some scales.
Boxes of mammoth, walrus, elephant, whale teeth, etc.
16 feet of knives
Looks like you had quite the set up. I would love to have been there to see the handle material that you had available.

Nice! When I lived in Chesapeake I unfortunately never made it to the Harrisonburg show. Wish I had. Stacy, will you be at Blade Atlanta this year?

Not this year. I may try next year, but Atlanta is a zoo, and I prefer a nice laid-back show like Harrisonburg.

I'm going to put some of my wood on The Exchange soon for you guys who can't make the show or come by my shop. I'll let everyone know when I do. I also sorted out a lot of wood that I probably won't use or sell and may do a shop giveaway like Cushing did with it.
