Well, I did a trade with a very nice gentleman over the weekend & his knives came in today. I got 5 Slippies & must say, I'm very happy with them. I got:
Buck 303 Cadet: A user, but still in VG working condition. It's the reg. brown plastic handle one, I believe in 420HC.
Case mini-Trapper CV: This is the yellow handle one (Is this delrin or some such composite material?). At 3.5", it really isn't a mini, but I like it, especially since it has the CV steel.
Henckels med. Whittler: Red jigged bone & a red shield model, so I believe it's carbon steel (Anyone know what kind of steel it is?). Very nice.
Rough Rider Trapper: Not sure the type of handle, but a full size Trapper at 4 1/8" & the blade says "440 SS", so I'm guessing it's 440A. Now I see what's behind all the positive comments about this Chinese made knife. F&F is excellent, especially for the price point.
Schrade: Blade is stamped "N.Y. U.S.A." & "808" on the other side. Not sure what model this is, but looks like a mini-stockman at 2.75". The handle looks like Delrin to me, but what do I know? I'm guessing this is an older U.S. made Schrade.
I'll have to post some pics later, but just thought I'd share. Also, thank you in advance if anyone has any info, particularly about the Henckels red shield blade steel.
