After a lot of shop-looking, I decided to order up a new Benchmade 707 Sequel. Excellent fit & finish, blade perfectly centred between the scales, silky-smooth AXIS lock action, AND a decent factory edge--these are things I expect from Benchmade and I was not disappointed by the 707. I think the Sequel is an excellent alternative for others, like me, who just aren't into the Mini-Grip.
Even though I'd read all the specs and watched several review videos, I was a little surprised by how small and compact this knife is when I took it out of the box (not much bigger than a Buck 55 when folded but more cutting edge than a Delica 4 when deployed!) Just thought I'd share a few comparison pics for those who may be curious about the BM 707 Sequel:
Spyderco Delica 4, Benchmade 707, Buck 55, Victorinox Tinker, Fallkniven U2
Next to some other Benchmades:
Benchmade 710, Benchmade 940, Benchmade 707
Anyway, thanks for looking!
