A coworker just got a Skookum this week. Many people consider it the ultimate bushcraft knife. After having one in my hand I think I would rather have my BK-10 or BK-16 . Don't get me wrong the Skookum is a nice knife but when you consider price and wait to get it I will stick with my Beckers

I like hearing that! Esp. considering how MANY Beckers can be had for the price of one SBT…

I'd love to handle one irl to experience what all the praise is about. But then often things hyped up too much are a bit disappointing by the time I get my hand on one.

I don’t think I understood the appeal. What’s the deal with these Skookums? The only hard to get knives I’d ever bother with are CPK or Busse/kin.
