I had a little work done to one of my all time favorites, my TGLB. This started as a "Garth" edition that I got from Blade Ganza 14 with black G10 scales and bronze coating. I had AZTimT apply his "Stripetition" finish and switch the sales over to hand smoothed black linen micarta. I have used this knife a lot over the years, but it's like a new blade now, I can't wait to get it out in the woods!

Here is how it used to look:

Oh, I also had my "Garth" edition MOAB done to match. I'll post some more details about that later...

Wow! Beautiful finish work by Tim! Did you do the hand finish on the scales, or was that Tim, also?

Congrats!!!

I was hoping you would like them, they make a sweet pair for sure!

Congrats, I remember seeing your MOAB when you did your comparison of Big Blades! Big, Big,, Difference, and Improvement IMO, should also perform better now! Congrats again Zmbhntr:thumbsup:;)

Did y'all make those handles from a block? I have at least one G10 I want to switch to micarta, and not sure where to start as I don't have a replacement set.

The MOAB's really sweet, but I'm most impressed with how clean and crisp the fuller came out on that TGLB--a thing of beauty!:thumbsup::cool:

Very awesome. Did Timmy make the scales? Looks fabulousO! Excellent Work!

This should answer some questions, both public and private.
Oh and just to be clear, "Timmy" did not do the work, that is someone else's name that I do not answer to. ;)
Anyhow, this was an awesome project that took way longer than it should have due to me devoting a lot of time to running my new business startup.
Here is how they looked on arrival:

Edit: Oh, and the linen scales were made from 1/4" & 3/8" blocks of black linen respectively.
