I had a titanium pocket clip and a permanant thumbstud added by Steve Rice at STR on my oldest (12 year old) son's Buck 110.

Steve just sent me the link to his blog with the pictures, and it is one sweet-looking knife!! After seeing these pictures, he was hard enough to live with since I sent it off, talking about "when he gets it back"...now he will be chomping at the bit and driving me crazy! - which is a good thing actually. :D

The turn-around on this was amazing - I'm glad I caught Steve at a time when the wait for a smaller job such as this wasn't great, I sent it on the 10th and he received and finished it on the 12th for turn-around.

Here is the STR blog with pictures of my boy's knife:

...I will probably have to go buy a 2nd Buck 110 and have Steve set it up to give my youngest son when he gets to be 12! I'll let it sit in the safe for a few years, then surprise him.

STR does very good work. He did a 501 (think that was the right model) for me, added a stud and a clip to make it a nice gentleman's carry knife. Really like it! Added a lot more versatility to a sweet little knife.

Cool, it looks good... Good job and good pics.... ... ITE

Thanks...I don't know who is more excited to see it next week, my son or me. :)

I'm a Benchmade guy, but as my youngest wants one like this when he gets older, I may have 2 more made/modified...one for me and one for him.

 Good job on that 110!The pocket clip is a low carry, always a plus in my book! The thumb stud is not so big as to protrude from the handle thus snag, another plus. It looks like he drilled a hole in the blade for the thumb stud and that's no easy task!:D:thumbup:

The knife arrived today and my son hasn't put it down yet (either opening and closing it, or clipped in his pocket)...he is one proud kid!

Congrats! What a great gift for a son! So, did you get the next 2 110's picked up and sent on their way yet??? :D

Not yet...I have a slightly used BM 710 on the way from ebay that I am debating sending to STR for a lowrider clip first. It hasn't arrived yet for me to look the existing clip over and decide for sure though.

From seeing this, and on his website, im getting one done...ive carried my buck 110 in a sheath for several months now, but i find its just bulky and annoying when i go around town. Having the clip and thumb stud will help a ton!

I was wanting to now if i could send it to someone to have a pocket clip and thumb stud put on my 110? And how much does it cost ?
