I make small blade wood carving knives and had a problem with the belt touching my thumbs and grinding down my fingerprints. I tried to find a sutable push stick but none gave me the feel I needed to control the grind. I decided to try a wine cork and found that I can save my thumb prints and achieve the feel I need to grind small blades. Have any of the miniture blade makers tried this? The cork holds up very well and I can tell my wife I need the wine for the corks. (Screw caps don't work as well)...

Thats the best reason Ive heard to drink wine and grind. I wonder if it will settle my nreves like beer does. I dont think my wife will buy it though.
