Has anyone ever owned a Dark Ops Knife? And if so what are your opinions on them... my friend wants to get one.. i cant seem to convince him to not get one... please help me...

Is your friend fifteen?

I've never owned one but they look like they are sturdy well made knives. I would have no use for such a knife and can think of a lot of other knives I'd rather spend the money on.

Tell him to look at Benchmade, Kershaw, Spyderco, Zero Tolerance, Busse, and RAT Cutlery for starters. Tell him to start with a good knife he can carry and use and see if he still wants one after using that a while.

I personally like toys that I can play with every single day - if I want a wall decoration I'll just buy another Mosin-Nagant.

my friend is my age, hes 20... he is more into swords... i will point him in the right direction. thanks guys

Oh no you didn't.

Anyways, Dark Ops, eh? Haven't had any experience with them myself, but I've heard good things about Extrema Ratio. They also have some pretty interesting and, I guess, tactical designs. Not my cup of tea though.

Knives Illustraded nov. o9 has a typical product shown inside front page
product is listed as {interceptor 911 e@e]
looks like it might appeal to 12 or 13 yr. olds with millionaire parents.
kids with less money can get even flashier knives much cheaper from United Cut.can anyone on this forum actually like this piece of trot line weight.has to be more dangerous to user than anything in front of blade
please do'nt say you could throw at a bear.
maybe my age dictates this sarcasium.
