I have finally procured a Busse that does not do much for me. I know that everyone has their personal preferences, and this is not a complaint or a rant, as I know that a lot of people love these things.

I decided that my small but growing collection, to be worthy of the term, had to have a Satin Jack, so I procured one NIB at a real bargain 200 bucks. It came today, and is pristine as advertised.
In this length, I like the NO much more. I guess this is partly because the NO has become my first love in Busses, especially in the ZT configuration. Also, in the SJ blade width, the Anorexic Badger is just about perfect.

I have also handled the upcoming new SJ, and it is a whole 'nuther animal, having a wider blade. I liked it very much.

Oh well, I am going to keep it for the sake of the collection. Maybe it will grow on me. Also, it is 3/16", and for some reason I gravitate to the thinner Busses, like the ZT series and the Anorexic Badger.

As a growing piglet (and I'd be growing a lot faster if Jerrry would get the site up! Put the hamster on a CBL diet if you have to!!!) I must say that you will never like it. It will always feel intimidated by the wider, more loved, blades in you collection. It will always be a black eye and festering sore.

So you should send it to me for a good and propper beating. :D

Still haven't procurred a Satin Jack myself although I probably will sometime in the future. I, too, like the NO. Have 4 of them now. 1 E, 1 Desert E and two ZT's. Nice blades.
Semper Fi:)

That's exactly what I have in the NO's - An E CG, a Desert E and two ZT's.

Incidently, I just showed the SJ to my wife and she likes it very much. She likes the black-coated blades best, and says that the black slabs go real well with them.

I can't say much for the NO because I don't own one yet, but I do have a 1/4 CG SJ and it is sweet. It was my first Busse piece and my first thought was this thing is FAT! I love them. Haven't held a 3/16 SJ yet, but I'll bet it is nice too. Can't wait till the new line comes out!:D

Oh be careful, you might open a can of worms by doing that sort of thing. She might get to like them as much as you :D :D

Way too late to worry about that. This is the woman who appropriated my A2 BB Steel Heart II for self protection by the bed and in her car when I was out of town. I had to buy her an Ontario Marine fighting knife to get my SH back.
