...So my lady and I are moving our horse to a new stable on Sunday and we were packing up all of her tack and accoutrements yesterday. There was a huge plastic chest that a lot of stuff in it, and it wouldn't fit into the trunk completely so I had to lash the trunk down. The problem was that I hadn't brought my backpack with me, which cad all of my paracord in it, and we didn't have any other cord around. I was then suddenly reminded that I had wrapped a short length of paracord around the sheath of my Izula. After unwinding it, it worked great!

The moral of the story--it's not always a survival situation that makes having a rudimentary PSK handy!

There you go. Perfect use. I love it when people tell me about the things they did with the Survival bracelets I make. A good story and photo gets them a new one for free.

i have about 12" on my hest. i was helping autowrap a suv the other day and we needed something to saw emblems off. i cut the cord and removed the inner strands to use for this task and it worked great...my buddy that i was helping always asked why i carry a knife with that string hanging out my pocket. guess i showed him why its nice to have that with me.

That is one thing I make sure to always have - some sort of cordage. It's always handy.

Glad you were prepared.

Rule #9: Never leave your house without a knife.
this just shows that it's true

If I had really gotten desperate then I have the handle paracord wrapped as well, but the stuff wrapped around the sheath was really convenient to get at (and re-wrap when I was done)! :)

That's a fact. Knowing how hard it is to just make really durable cordage in the field is why I keep 13 feet of paracord on my wrist.
