Hadn't seen this article mentioning HI........

"The smallest Khuk does not invoke a fear of cuts. A 12" Ang Khola invokes a fear of being dismembered."

:D

Good article. can almost place the name,b ut not quite. s o will be interested when they step forward.

I'm not one of the 'masters' as quoted by a forumite here in HI land. "Master' stuff is for Soldier of Fortune afficianados. Maybe some of you military/ martial arts folks are 'masters'.
But my khuks and I have a working relationship. They often tell me what to do. It's when I attempt to 'make' the khuk bend to my will, or some idea of how the cut should go, that I get into problems. Working with a Khuk is a lot like having friends or being married. If you're the 'master' you have neither.

Not that anything bad has happened. But the two main mistakes- hit too hard, and/or with wrong angle, will reveal what the khuk was trying to show you.

As a lesson from guns, and probably my old Man, I keep my parts away from any projection of the blade, including the possible skip-off or bounce back.

Anyway, a great line, but not for me.

I'm going to post this link in several of the other, non-knife forums, I participate in.

Seems to me it is a gift to the uniformed, and a satisfaction to the knowledgeable.

Win/win.

I have two khuks with similar handles to the one he displays, but nothing like that beautiful rosewood sheath. I would love to have that rig he displays there. Very nice, and a good article!

No. My medical insurance doesn't cover perscription catapults.

(When catapults are outlawed [proscribed], only outlaws will have catapults.)
(My insurance doesn't cover precription eyeglasses any more. :p )
