Just wanted to say, I think the Military is the finest Spyderco ever made and in the top three best knives ever made.

Thanks Sal!

One of the other two, of course, is the Gunting. So what's the third?

Whym the Native, of course! No wonder it has the most variations in handle-materials ever made for a Spyderco knife! (or will, soon, with the possible release of a CF Native).

But in fact, you got the order all wrong. THIS is the correct order:

1. Spyderco Native
2. Spyderco Starmate
3. Spyderco Military

Hey, this is fun! Why don't you guys include your top-three Spydie choices? (I know what Samo's is: three different variations of the Endura, I bet!).

Best Spydies of all time;

1. Endura
2. Lum Tanto
3. Starmate / Police

Best knives of all time;

1. Endura!
2. Al Mar SERE
3. Randall m/17 Astro

In no particular order

Military CPM 440V

710 AXIS M2

Classic MM Sebenza BG 42

Just my thoughts!

I thought Elvis was spotted in a McDonald's with a Spyderco clipped to that big belt buckle or something.

My top 3 most preferred spydies:
1) Military, plain edge
2) Delica, plain edge
3) Moran

Soon I'll have a Native though. So the list may change in the foreseeable future.

At first, I was thinking about making a distinction between the cheaper and more expensive models. To better make a distinction between price vs. performance, but I quickly thought: aw heck, all spyderco knives are marvelous examples of great performance versus little price!

I suspect the Lum Chinese will be on this list too (once I get one I'll know for sure!)

I can't do it! I'm impressed you folks can rank them. My favs change on a daily basis, it seems.
Although come to think of it, I can go this far: probably the 3 that are most consistently in my top 5 would be Almite Navigator, BF Blue Native, Calypso Jr. Ltwt.

My fave Spydies are:
1) Harpy/ Merlin, ok, the Harpy's handles are significantly better, but that blade is good in any handle!
2) Dragonfly- any configuration, any handle
3)tie- either one of the small Dyads or the Pegasus
Of all times:
1) Harpy/Merlin
2) tie BM 705 or BM 350
3) Dragonfly- nuff' said
However, be aware that these ratings change daily and with the acquisition of new knives. I can't wait to get my Cricket!

It's not hard to choose the Military (plainedge 440V) as my #1.

2. Calypso Jr. Ltwt.
3. Moran

Starmate and Dragonfly are runners up

If I include non-Spydies:

1. Military
2. BM-42
3. Dozier Slim Ooudoorsman

When I get my Sifu, things may change.
