I'm going to be making a sheath for a friend of a friend soon. He wants it made with hair on cowhide. Are there any differences in how it's done? Stitching comes to mind. The hair will get tangled in the stitches, and flattened. I was thinking of removing the hair along the edge, like a border.
The opening at the top, will I need to add some trim to cover that?
