Hairy Carry 4 LE compared to Rodent Solution

Hey Rats,

So i am the proud owner of an HC 4 LE (#214) since they were offered at the store last year. For those who have one of these excellent blades and a new rodent solution, i am curious how they compare in the hand and in the pocket.

They seem very similar in dimension to me but its hard to tell the character of a blade from pictures. So lets hear from the rats with both.

I own a Hairy Carry LE. I think all of the LE's were 3.5. I think the 4" were either SE's or just 4"? I could be wrong. Could you post a picture of your 4" LE? Thanks.

I actually used the HC today to open bags of black mulch. Worked like a charm. The Season is finally turning around and i can get out and have some fun with my toys!
 
The HCLE 4.0 has a slightly longer blade that is thinner and it has a full height grind. Seems to be an awesome slicer. And is 154CM.

The RS has a convex blade with a v grind primary edge. The handle is awesome on the RS, but the HCLE 4.0 has a nice useable choil.

I like the RS barely better, because I like the SR101.:thumbup:

That supports what I supsected from the photos but its nice to get some confirmation. Now I just need to get my pre-order in.
 
Here is a pic of both. I perfer the HCLE when hanging around camp. Food prep., cutting rope, etc. , useful choil. But the RS Is my EDC at my blue collar job. The handle feels a little better in hand and does not poke me as much with a high ride sheath. Small enough to seem reasonable to the sheeple at work. Does everything I need.
