Are the Hideaway Knife Curvy models still available? I have tried contacting the HAK website and the Ken Brock site with no response from either:( and I don't see it for sale on the site. Moderator; please move this if necessary. Nickels.

I ordered a curvy accidentaly and sent them multiple emails telling them about my mistake and the ice on mars HAK i wanted to switch to. It took almost 3 weeks for a reply but they did correct my order. The knife is sweet. its titanium so its super light and my EDC neck knife.

from what I understand.........NO ONE should send any money to the aforementoned business..............there are a lot of people who had put deposits down and received nothing............after a very long wait!!!:grumpy:

this has NOTHING to do with the collaborators and everything to do with the owner of the company..........who seemingly has disappeared!!!!!:(

Can anybody direct me to a thread/s that discuss
hak's customer service concern's. My search has got me nothing.

You will find a bunch of them on badlandsforums.com. You will have to register to read them.

It seems that people eventually get their knives, but some have had to initiate Paypal disputes before anything happened. Communication seems to be a thing of the past at Front Sight.

Ken Brock isn't grinding any custom HAK's at this time. To the best of my understanding, no one is currently grinding custom HAK's and no one has done so for some time. So, no, you can't get a curvy HAK.

I certainly don't know the whole situation. I am just going by what has been posted on Badlands. Now that the HideAway forum is read only, people won't be able to post about not getting their knives.

sorry, I dídn´t see an email from you. If you want to contact me directly, please use kbblades at yahoo.com

Frontsight built my original website but has refused to give me access to it. I have had a new one built at www.brockblades.net and I´ll be happy to help any way that I can

I´m currently on vacation in Mexico but I´m checking my email regularly

I have not ground any HAKs in over a year and won´t be grinding any in the future.

I would not purchase anything from the company at this time and (unless someone buys them out) not in the future

The only custom maker that has ground any HAKs was Joe Brum back around Christmas and that was only about 10 knives...............so there definitely aren´t any customs to be had

I´ve adamantly supported this company in the past but things have changed due to the lack of communication on the part of Frontsight.............

Ken,
Thank you for the reply & insight, enjoy your vacation. Does anyone know how to contact Joe Brum?

When i bought mine it was listed as a "ken Brock ice on mars" (about 4 months ago). Im satisfied with the blade but i feel ripped off since the website makes it seem like it was grinded by Ken. Somebody call the Police.. ive been robbed!

If you can send me a picture, I can tell you if it was ground by me (kbblades at yahoo)

Also, sometimes they get mislabeled if they happen to be sharpened by me

Another possibility is that I actually ground it and it´s been lying around for awhile before being posted for sale. Anyway, shoot me an email and I´ll try to help

Under new management

FS has been trying to cope with a serious illness in her family and can not perform the responsibilities of running a business and she has turned over all ownership, management, and communication responsibilities to me.

I have been involved in many aspects of the business for over 3 years, including sheathing, CAD and CAM, waterjet, and all order customization that gets done in the shop.

Priorities over the next several months - My first priority will be to determine which types of orders can be expedited that are currently in-process, as this will address many of the email questions the quickest. This includes all talonite pre-orders and any other groupings that can help the orders move faster. My second priority is to ship all available orders within 1-2 weeks of payment 80% of the time, and all custom-sheathing orders within 4 weeks of payment, and in parallel, training HideAway Shipping Associate Daniel and getting a third person to handle email questions and followups quickly and clearly.

This is a big opportunity for me to improve on a great product and for a worthwhile effort, as well as one that can make use of the skills I have developed. After main priorities are handled, next is a new model variation. If it can be completed effectively, it will be offered at a discount to LEO, military, firefighters and rescue, and previous Hideaway owners.

Emails for now are artemisweapons at yahoo.com and also frontsight9mm at yahoo.com. Daniel is being trained on how to answer the questions in both locations effectively.

I look forward to building back up to good customer service and making available excellent small edges.

William

Sorry to make multiple posts on this but............

I´ve been in contact with William who is now the owner of Hideaway knives. If things improve with customer service and the rest of the business, I may grind some more knives for them now that Frontsight isn´t with the business anymore

William seems to actually want to make things right and take care of people so I´m willing to give him a chance to take care of things
