This post has nothing to do with the debt ceiling debate!

I've been wanting a Half Congress knife for awhile and have been keeping my eyes open.

Yesterday I didn't have one. Today I have two.

1972 mint Case 62052 Red Bone Half Congress and a New Rick Menefee Half Congress:

I like the pattern! I really like Rick's interpretation that was based on a 4 line Camillus pattern. More pics of Rick's in the Menefee subfolder.

Great pattern, I think that pattern slipped between the cracks for me. Its bow on my list.

That Menefee is beutiful.

Very nice!! The half congress is one of my favorite patterns and you have two great ones.

Gary, Those are great! Rick is certainly expanding his scope these days.

Sweet! Nice haul! If I were forced to pick a single favorite pattern, the half-congress/congress pen would be it.
 
Right on Gary. We have very similar taste in knives. Or, maybe I should say I like all of your knives.

Nice knives, Gary. That Case has great redbone -- solid deep color and jigging that goes all the way to the bolsters. Very nice. That Menefee half congress is a sweetheart. Rick is really churning out some cool knives. The orange micarta and shield both look great on the half congress pattern. I bet it's sharp too. Happy belated Congress day! ;)
 
Lovely knives guys.. Gary..that one of Ricks is just awesome, and biglmbass's collection is most impressive!..
I only have two-but boy I think they are great!! ( I hope its ok to show these knives Gary )... a neat Case..( please excuse the oil on the blades )
