Half Hatchet ID Help

Hard to ID as it's a dead-plain conventional half hatchet with no remarkable features. The visible finish grinding marks mean it was probably a drop-forged late-ish period model, and the lack of a mark on it means it was PROBABLY made as a private-labeled piece for a hardware store, with a paper label rather than hot stamp.

I should have been more specific. I wanted help with ID so I could find another(#2 arrived yesterday, eBay). I thought they would be great Christmas presents for my 3 Sons. (Looking for one more if anyone has one.) Clean them up with new handles. I do leather so new sheaths will be easy.

Just look for antique carpenter's hatchets/half hatchets on the usual auction sites and you'll find a million of 'em. Should be able to find one that's a close enough aesthetic match without any trouble.

Why not just go with brand new Vaughan SH2 22oz half hatchets ?
What's the fun with doing that? This is more about the hatchet being from their grandparents / great grandparents and I'm less than $20 in for the two hatchet heads. Tooling the leather sheath will be the most time consuming part of the process. But I already have everything needed for that part.

I just figured it would be easier since you're trying to have 3 that are the same.
If you did buy the Vaughans you could still make the sheaths and could put their names on the handles...etc and they'd still be a gift from the same person.
They would also be a known quality and condition.
I do understand going with something that's much more of a project though.

Found this in the bottom of an old toolbox when clearing out my MIL's garage. I tried cleaning it up some but no makers mark or stamp is visible. An image search does not show anything close. Most images have a much more rounded Lug(Lip).

Any help is appreciated.

With the off center eye the rehang will most likely problematic if you want everything to line up with the haft.

I'm just letting you know.
