during my search for knives came across this paper and was wondering if any more information concerning it could be out there. I had never seen an explanation for the marks on some of my fixed blades. Where they only used on fixed blades and what type did get the hall marks?

According to the paper with this knife, the very first hallmarked knife was a rosewood and damascus steel LB-5 variation from 1985 (hallmarked with letter "A").

I can't recall whether I have seen other hallmarked folders or not but I suspect they are out there. From what I can tell they used the hallmarks to add a touch-of-class to some limited editions.
