:) I was going through my Smokey Mountain Knife works catalog when I came across a knife company by the name of Halle from Norway.I never heard of them I was wondering if any body out there heard of them.According to the article they have been in business since 1932 with 45 employees.

I have a Helle knife, it's a fairly nicely made knife with the standard Scandinavian laminated blade.

I have one that I got from Ragweed Forge (Ragnar is the best!) Laminated blade is sharper than sh**. Really functional knives.

i don't have any factory-made Helles, but have put together a couple of simple wood-handled hunting/utility knives using their laminated blades (in stainless). They are probably my favorite knives.
In addition to camping, etc., I use them for leatherwork, misc. home & garden tasks, whatever. As someone said earlier, they can take a wicked edge & hold it well.

Also FWIW, I ordered my blades from Ragweed Forge & found the service to be exemplary. I had some questions in picking out the blades & later in putting the knives together, & Ragnar was very friendly & responsive to e-mails.

Hope this helps,

Andrew

I LOVE Helle knives. I have "made" a few knives using their blades and own one of their factory knives and they're awesome. I really should go back to RagweedForge.com and buy more... Now...
